Better Bit of Butter cookies are the
creation of Christine Mehling.
Christine Mehling received her formal training in fine arts and
graduated with a BFA degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art.
Applying her talent to working with silver, Christine just couldn't
shake her desire to cook. “I remember having such fun at age
nine, mixing sweet ingredients in my mother's kitchen to see what
I would get. I also remember baking batch after batch of cookies
for the holidays,” Christine recalls.
“My baking career started seven years ago with custom-made
cakes. As demand for my cakes increased I gradually migrated into
the world of wedding cakes.
“After the birth of my second child, and time spread rather
thin,
I combined my favorite thing about cake decorating, which was fondant,
and my second love, cookies, and came up with the Better Bit of
Butter cookie”
“Combining these two treats plus admiration for bold graphic
and repetitive images gave me what I was looking for. I believe
in destiny and I think my winding road has lead me to this unique
and specific path."
"I officially launched my cookie company in April 2006, after
much encouraging from friends and family. I believe in my product
and take great care to make sure I use the freshest ingredients
to ensure the best cookie.”
My cookies contain no trans fats
or preservatives. I'm use only locally produced organic butter,
and free range eggs.
